Air force rules on dating
If you are considering seriously dating a man (or woman) in the military, there are a few things to consider. The ability to collect crap is exponentially diminished by the Air Force’s need to show you the world beginning with Yikes, Nev., and followed by WTH, Okla. All the rest are military wives/girlfriends, but they're all active duty mil to mil, that I have introduced her. My wife has her degree, full time job and basically can't stand military wives.
I'd stop dating him if I didn't see that he's genuinely a good-hearted guy underneath it all (and the fact that he's good in bed is a plus). What should I know about military culture in order to understand him better? They tend to be faithful to their wives, hard on their children -not very flexible or sensitive. Their public persona is the most important thing often in the absence of a private persona. He was very into Church which was a deal breaker for me. I am not saying he's not confident about some aspects of himself - he is.I've dated a couple military girls and the only thing I enjoyed about that, was that they understood what my friends and I talked about. The issue I run into now is that my girlfriend only has one or two of her own civilian friends.Partly because I have 3 young kids and partly because we hang out with civilians most times. So like everyone else is saying, hang out with her friends.
